I did my research on bivy bags for light and fast Alpine trios and I eventually wittled the options down to the Samaya.
The bag arrived promptly and well packed.
I haven’t used the bag in an Alpine environment yet. However, I was very impressed with the quality of the workmanship and the ergonomics of the bag.
I easily fitted my ultralight mat and sleeping bag into the bivy bag.
I cinched up the internal draw cord of the Samaya and felt very comfortable and cosy.
I was impressed that I never felt claustrophobic, like in other bivy bags. The small opening to the Samaya fitted precisely over my nose and mouth.
The ultimate test will be a real alpine trip but it certainly looks excellent so far…..
