A two-room tunnel tent with a spacious living area. Enjoy a more exciting camping experience with the highest level of comfort in Kamaboko Tent history and a wide range of optional parts.
- This all-season, two-room tunnel tent is designed to suit Japan's unique climate and campsite sizes. Despite its compact storage size, it boasts a living space large enough for 10 adults to relax in, making it ideal for everything from family camping to group camping.
- The Kamaboko Tent 3 features a revised structure and materials for even greater comfort. A wide range of optional parts are also available to allow for even more exciting uses.
- A two-room structure with an integrated living room and bedroom. With a typical one-room tent, the tent is used as a sleeping space, and a separate tarp tent needs to be set up to provide shade and shelter from the rain. However, the Kamaboko Tent has a two-room tunnel tent structure, so you only need to set up one tent to have both a bedroom and a living area. You can use the extra time for cooking or playing.
- A spacious living area large enough for 10 adults to relax in. This is a two-room tunnel tent with a spacious living area. It can comfortably accommodate a family of 4-5 people, and it's also suitable for 2-3 groups to gather for a party camp.
- All-season design: cool in summer, warm in winter. Compared to the Kamaboko Tent 3, all panels can now be converted to mesh, allowing it to be used as a screen tarp in the summer. In winter, it has a skirt that prevents wind from entering from underneath the tent fabric, keeping you warm. *Because of the skirt, if all doors are closed, air can easily become trapped inside the tent. In that case, condensation is more likely to occur, especially in rainy weather, so please open the ventilators regularly to ventilate the tent.
- Size designed to fit Japanese campsites. This tent is designed to fit the typical 8x8m to 10x10m campsite plots found in Japan. While it's a comfortable two-room tunnel tent, it can be set up in a space as small as 4x7.5m wide.
- Efficient ventilator structure We've revised the ventilator structure of the old model to efficiently expel air entering from the bottom of the tent through the ceiling.
- DAC Pressfit Pole The Kamaboko Tent 3 uses DAC's Pressfit poles. The joints are connected using a press method instead of the punching method used in the previous model, resulting in a structure that is less prone to cracking.
- Highly breathable inner tent structure Compared to the Kamaboko Tent 3, all panels of the inner tent can now be made mesh, making it cooler to use during the summer months.
- Entry and exit are also possible from the inner tent side. Compared to the Kamaboko Tent 3, the inner tent now has doors at both the front and back, allowing you to enter and exit from the opposite side of the living area.
- Extensive range of optional parts We've expanded the range of optional parts beyond the previous model, including the Kamaboko Shield to reduce condensation, the Kamaza-shiki for a tatami-style seating arrangement, and the Kamaboko Theater for watching movies with a projector. You can enjoy even more exciting camping in a variety of situations.
- Cheese and fish cake style for even greater comfort By connecting the separately sold Cheese Tarp or Okra Tarp, the tarp space can be further expanded. The tarp uses thick T/C fabric (a blend of cotton and polyester), which provides deep shade and prevents condensation at overlapping areas. *In rainy weather, use tarp poles to set up the tarp so that it does not come into contact with the Kamaboko Tent. If the tarp absorbs a large amount of rain, it will become heavy and may lead to damage to the Kamaboko Tent frame. *Three sets of separately sold Big Tarp Poles (XP5-507K) are used. Adjust the height and position of the poles to your liking.
- High light-blocking and durable 150D fabric Because it uses a thick 150D (denier) fabric, it offers superior light-blocking and durability compared to thinner fabrics such as 75D.
- Double zipper The two doors at both ends feature double zippers for opening and closing. Because only the top part of the door can be opened, you can insert tarp poles and adjust the position of the tarp tent.
- Simple design that won't get you lost. This tunnel tent has a simple structure where you just insert the poles into the four sleeves and peg them down. All four poles are the same length, so you won't have any trouble deciding which sleeve to use.
- Lightweight and compact storage In addition to its simple tunnel tent structure, the weight is kept down by using lightweight materials such as ultra-duralumin.
- Ceiling height that allows you to stand and walk around The tunnel-shaped design maintains a consistent height at the top, allowing for stress-free movement from the living space to the bedroom.
- Half-windows that block sunlight and rain The four door sections can be partially closed. This is useful when you want to block out sunlight and rain while still allowing airflow during hot and humid summer camping trips. An improvement over the previous model is that the closing mechanism can now be adjusted in two stages.
- Canopy door to increase shaded area The four door sections can be used as tarp spaces by setting up poles. This expands the shaded area. *Canopy poles and ropes are sold separately. The photo shows the use of Big Tarp Poles (XP5-507K) .
- Hanging inner tent The inner tent (sleeping area) is designed to hang from the outer tent, so if you have hooks installed, you can set it up at the same time as the outer tent.
- With two inner tents, it can accommodate up to 10 people for sleeping. The inner tent can also be hung on the living area side. By hanging the separately sold inner tent (※discontinued), it can accommodate up to approximately 10 people for sleeping.
- Large screen tarp By removing the inner tent, the entire structure can be used as a large screen tarp without a floor. It is also possible to sleep in it using a cot or similar.
- Fasteners for electrical outlets The inner tent, which has a two-room structure, has a zippered entrance for an electrical outlet, allowing you to put in items such as an electric carpet or a fan.
- Large pocket (inner tent entrance) The inner tent entrance features four large pockets. These pockets allow you to neatly store items such as sleeping bag storage bags used in the sleeping area and cooking utensils used in the living space, keeping the inside of the tent tidy.
- Bedroom pocket There are four pockets located at the foot of the bed in the bedroom area. They are convenient for storing small items such as smartphones and glasses.
- Skirt It has a skirt-like fabric attached, which helps reduce wind entering from underneath the tent fabric during winter.
- UV protection treatment The tent fabric is treated with UPF50+ UV protection. This helps protect you and your camping gear from sunburn.
- Water pressure resistance: 3000mm To prepare for severe weather, we use fabric with a water pressure resistance of 3000mm. When producing tents, DOD conducts water pressure resistance tests using the JIS L 1092 (ISO811) method, and sets the water pressure resistance so that the minimum value, not the average value at each measurement point, is equal to or greater than the stated value.
- Dedicated compression bag A large storage bag is included to make it easy for even beginners to pack away. The compression feature makes packing easy, while still allowing you to reduce the storage size.
- Steel pegs High-strength steel pegs are included.
- Repair pole included In the unlikely event that the pole breaks, a part for emergency repairs is included. Please use it by securing the damaged area with tape or similar.
- Tent repair sheet included A repair sheet is included in case the tent gets punctured or torn.
